We are actively looking to expand the lab at all levels! The lab is based at the New York Genome Center, a vibrant, new, and rapidly growing research institute located in lower Manhattan. You can learn more about our lab’s work on our research and publications pages.
We are recruiting both experimental and computational staff scientists, who will assist lab members with ongoing research and also have the opportunity to lead their own projects. All staff members will have the opportunity to receive cross-training in computational analysis and experimental work, and to participate in international initiatives such as the Human Cell Atlas, NIH Human Biomolecular Atlas Program, and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Open-Source Software Program.
We are seeking highly motivated and creative scientists, and will consider all ranges of experience from BS through PhD. The following positions are available:
- Senior Staff Scientist, Junior Research Associate (wetlab)
- Computational Biologist
- Software Engineer
Job descriptions and formal applications are available at the NYGC careers website. However, we encourage applicants to apply informally either by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by submitting a CV as a direct message to the @satijalab twitter account.
We are continually accepting applications for Postdoctoral Fellows in our group. Applicants should apply informally by e-mail, including a CV. Postdoctoral fellows will be eligible for subsidized housing near the NYU and NYGC campuses.
Masters, and undergraduate students at NYU who are interested in learning more should feel free to get in touch via e-mail. Graduate students from the Biology program are welcome to join the lab. Other NYU graduate students are welcome as well, but joint supervision may be required.
